Today, at LivingSoft, we are announcing the arrival of General Spatial Computing. GSC replaces Vibecoding with a more systematic approach to tame AI into a force that AMPLIFIES human creativity, not overwhelms it.

It was inevitable that the explosion of AI would lead to a new paradigm in computing - one that elevates us to our destiny as Creators in infinite space, beyond the coded struggles of Builders and Engineers.

That paradigm is here: GSC turns the unending babble of AI into a reality to be experienced, rather than walls of text to be read - the same way genetic code does not need to be read, because its true meaning is found in living expressions. This is why, like nature's ecosystems, software environments produced by GSC are dynamic and complex beyond human understanding; yet, like gardens grown for our enjoyment, they require no prior knowledge or discipline from the user to participate: All you need is Spatial Intuition, possessed by all living beings, Curiosity, observed in many animals, and Language, found in all humans.

By applying this principle, we have created Hyphae, the first GSC framework. Hyphae is an evolution of the Web, from a rigid consensus reality, into a Personal Generative Medium. A medium, where the user's desires and wishes, as if spontaneously, materialize into a private reality of pages, sites and applications.

Hyphae was first conceived in 2024 as an experiment in an alternative hypothesis of Biocomputing: What if, instead of using the material of biology for computing, we applied its principles to the construction of Code? What if the language of the study of living forms and processes, can be used as a blueprint for their CREATION in Cyberspace?

Two years on, our results are compelling. By studying the Web as a biosphere of flora and fauna, we deduced the possibility of a new mode of networked life: the Mycelial Web, where consensus is not determined by ownership of URLs, but by the creation and exchange of Hyperspaces, which organize hyperlinks into living perspectives that convey, not just the destinations of the Web, but the roads and trails that take us there.

Working backwards from this vision, away from the shadows of platform economics, we designed Hyphae in 3 pieces: Mycelium (the server), Blancs (the browser), and VvilL (the harness). Each reconstructs the existing software from a spatial perspective; the effects of which compound, ultimately creating an illusion of a new, productive Web where, for some reason, every developer decided to start working for you, the user.

This powerful illusion is your Home Web. The World Web was once small enough to fit on a hard drive; now, it's an immense, unknown jungle, expanding at the speed of AI. But we still have the hard drive; Hyphae creates the Home Web in it, as a base where we can set AI on the opposite task: not developing the Web, but mapping it, making the terrain legible to us again. How? First, Hyphae lifts the user up, from the page-by-page view of the browser window, to the Hyperspace Lens, where they can see the maze of hyperlinks they used to navigate, now from a bird's-eye view. Then, the Lens superimposes your on-disk Home Web over the view of the World Web, like cellophane over the map, creating a surface where LLMs can respond to your browsing by materializing replicas, portals and complexes that preserve, extend or even totally change the Web into your own versions, saved to .lens files.

Despite their conversational appearance, LLMs are not the genie in the bottle; they are a simulation based on the data of the Web: a Web-building intelligence by nature, sculpted into assistant figures. Hyphae, unlike Vibecoding apps, lets you employ LLMs in their native task: growing into Web-like environments. This is the essence of General Spatial Computing: your role is no longer to prompt or code, but to explore the World for pages, sites and applications that you'd like to grow in your Home. The agents already know their job; to take your ideas and fragments as seeds, and express them as custom, local Webs that reflect and magnify your inner worlds. Finally, by sharing the Webs we grow in Lenses, we enter the Mycelial Web: a deeper Internet, where the packets no longer carry the WORDS we are saying to each other, but the WORLDS that we are experiencing together.

So when are we shipping? As of this writing, July 2026, we don't know. We draft this announcement as the larger implications of our early design decisions start to become clear. Will it be open source? Yes, but more; Hyphae is not the software in the computer, but the understanding, and anticipation, of its powers and possibilities, which lives in the user's mind. So, in a sense, Hyphae is already yours. As LivingSoft, we do not see our product as a linear series of software releases, but as any species of computer phenomenon that meets the user's expectations, based on our descriptions of its inner experiences. We do not care about the computer; it is nothing more than a complex mirror. We care about what happens in the TRUE IMAGE, your mind, as you use the mirror over the course of your days, months, and decades. We care, because we are also users of this mirror. This is our only promise.
